Soupe aux pois jaunes réconfortantes

Comforting Yellow Pea Soup

Ingredients

  • Si Facile Yellow Peas, well rinsed and drained - 2 jars of 500 ml
  • Chopped onions - 2
  • Chopped garlic cloves - 2
  • Large carrots, finely diced - 2
  • Celeries, finely diced - 2 stalks
  • Vegetable broth - 4 cups
  • Bay leaves - 2
  • Olive oil - 2 tbsp
  • Salt and pepper - to taste
  • Sprig of thyme - for serving

Preparation

  1. In a large saucepan, brown the onion in olive oil. Add the garlic and continue cooking for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the carrots, celery and potatoes. Continue cooking for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the broth, yellow peas and bay leaves. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Cover, bring to a boil and simmer for about 15 minutes. Add the other half of the yellow peas. Continue cooking for about 15 minutes, covered. Remove the bay leaves.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Place a sprig of thyme on each bowl. Enjoy!
