Why Si Facile?

Hi! My name is Gabrielle and I am the founder of Si Facile.

I created Si Facile with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of our food.

There are different ways to get there.

Personally, I have always wondered why recycling was put forward when we could simply reuse the container. THIS IS WHY all our glass jars are returnable, $1 will be refunded to you per returned jar!

Another way we do this is with the origin of Si Facile legumes. We source legumes as close as possible to our production centre in Montreal. The beans and yellow peas are grown in Quebec, while the chickpeas are grown in Western Canada.

Basically, Si Facile legumes are the eco-responsible and local solution to the consumption of local legumes!

FAQs

How does our deposit system work?

Return your empty and rinsed jars with the Si Facile labels to the various stores selling Si Facile products.

Where can we find our points of sale and deposit collection points?

Each Si Facile legume sales point is a return point for returnable pots. Visit our interactive map to find the point of sale closest to you!

Where do Si Facile legumes come from?

The beans come from the Haribec farm located in Saint-Aimé. The yellow peas come from Pré-Rieur in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli.
Chickpeas are unfortunately not yet grown in Quebec. We buy them from the Haribec farm which sources its supplies from Western Canada.

Our actions to protect the environment

We contribute to reducing the consumer's ecological footprint, both through local purchasing, deposits and plant-based proteins which promote sustainable development.
Also, the lids returned with the returnable jars are sent
directly to a Quebec recycling center to ensure their recycling. Same thing for damaged returnable jars.
