Ingredients
- Yellow peas Si Facile well rinsed and drained - 1 jar of 500 ml
- Basil leaves - 2 cups
- Chopped Jalapeno - 1 (optional)
- Garlic clove - 1
- Cashews - 1/2 cup
- Olive oil - 6 tbsp
- Pasta cooking water - 1/2 cup
- Salt and pepper - to taste
- Fusili Paste - 200 g
- Cheese of your choice - for serving
Preparation
- Cook the pasta according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- In an electric blender, puree the basil, jalapeno, garlic, cashews and olive oil into pesto. Season with salt and pepper.
- Drain the pasta. Keep the water. Return the pasta to the pot.
- Add the pesto and yellow peas. Mix well and gradually add cooking water until you have a smooth sauce.
- All that's left is to serve with cheese. Enjoy!
