Soupe aux pois jaunes réconfortantes

Comforting Yellow Pea Soup

Ingredients

  • Yellow peas Si Facile well rinsed and drained - 2 jars of 500 ml
  • Chopped onions - 2
  • Chopped garlic cloves - 2
  • Large carrots cut into small cubes - 2
  • Celery cut into small cubes - 2 stalks
  • Vegetable broth - 4 cups
  • Bay leaves - 2
  • Olive oil - 2 tbsp
  • Salt and pepper - to taste
  • Sprig of thyme - for serving

Preparation

  1. In a large saucepan, brown the onion in the olive oil. Add the garlic and continue cooking for 2 minutes.
  2. Add carrots, celery and potatoes. Continue cooking for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the broth, yellow peas and bay leaves. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Cover, bring to a boil and simmer for about fifteen minutes. Add the other half of the yellow peas. Continue cooking for about fifteen minutes covered. Remove the bay leaves.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Place a sprig of thyme on each bowl. Enjoy!
