Houmous de pois jaunes et graines de tournesol grillés au poivre de Cayenne

Hummus of yellow peas and sunflower seeds grilled with cayenne pepper

Preparation time : 10 minutes
Cooking time : 5 minutes
Servings : 2 to 4 people


Ingredients

  • Si Facile yellow peas, well rinsed and drained - 1 jar of 500 ml
  • Chopped garlic cloves - 2
  • Tahini butter – 1/4 cup
  • Lemon juice - 3 tbsp
  • Olive oil - 2 tbsp
  • Water – 1/4 cup
  • Salt and pepper - to taste
  • Sunflower seeds – 1/2 cup
  • Cayenne pepper – 1 tbsp 

Preparation

  1. In a pan over high heat, toast the sunflower seeds with the cayenne pepper for a few minutes.
  2. Let the sunflower seeds cool.
  3. In an electric blender, puree the yellow peas, garlic, tahini butter, lemon juice, olive oil and water until smooth. Salt and pepper. Place the mixture in a bowl.
  4. Sprinkle the hummus with the sunflower seeds. Drizzle with olive oil. Enjoy with pitas, raw vegetables, in a sandwich, etc. Enjoy!
